For our 40th Wedding Anni I shall be paying for us to go to Tenerife and I have to buy an item of jewelry with a Ruby in it!

If she's a decent lass she'll understand you're a bit strapped for cash as long as you come up with a 'good' alternative. If she expects something from you don't ask her what she wants to do, just pick something and say we are doing this. Never give a girl choice  :grin:
