From a meeting I had today, I dont think the Tobbaco companies are too bothered about what goes on in the UK anyhoo.
If we Ban smoking over here it will just be to the detriment of our wallets, along with fuel duty Ciggys make up a huge chunk of what our government earns. If they have no ciggies to tax it will need to come from something else like anybody who still has a job.

Some interesting new products hitting the market in the next few years, bound to cause another heated "think of the children" debate, I can't say a word as I have signed an NDA :lipsrsealed:

warehouses, offices, meeting room, kitchen, reception door way, loading bay entrance, even all the work vehicles are smoked in

If they ban people from smoking in cars what about all the modern vehicles with all the distractive gadgetary. It makes no real sense to be honest. Eventually there will be no laws, just things that aren't banned yet.

Interesting debate on this very topic on question time last night..  :nerd:

good to see that some peolpe still have enough comon sense to know that firstly the only reason for this ban is to protect children i.e. No need to put a ban in place, unless you have children in the car. Secondly, who the hell is going to be enforcing this ban??

I would not oppose the ban to be honest. I do smoke, and am trying to quit, but I never smoke in the car. It is a distraction and the smell lingers. If you really need to smoke while driving, pull over. Simple really.

I used to smoke, gave up when the company I was working for brought in the ban in the work a few months early. I decided I wasn't going to go outside and have a fag in January in the cold so I gave up. Never looked back TBH. If I still smoked I wouldn't do it around my kids and NEVER in the car even if they weren't in there, it still stinks and it's not fair on them.

Personally I'd label smoking in a car with children as child abuse
