A group of doctors that most likely drink loads of alcohol and smoke 70 fags a day whilst visiting brothels for 'meetings' decide these stupid proposals!

The only thing 'stupid' about these proposals is that if somehow everyone stopped smoking tomorrow, 50% of doctors would be picking up their P45s within a decade, as half the punters would stop coming through the doors with heart disease/malignancies/COPD/diabetic complications/peripheral vascular disease/etc!

Drug and Alcohol related issues will keep them busy, not to mention the flood of immigrants here.

Alcohol will keep the gastroenterologists busy until retirement. You're wrong about everything else.

I am guessing you work in healthcare at some level. I am not qualified to argue if that's the case so I will have to accept I am wrong. However, smoking will always be so it's an invalid argument.

It's not even the government talking about it and they have no plans to

/thread.

I am not so sure.. I wouldnt be surprised if this was initiated by the gov to get an idea of the publics thoughts. Make some one else look stuid for a change  :lipsrsealed:

Too clever a move for the government to pull off

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

I smoke all day long in my work van even though i'm not suppose to. But there is no way i will drive all over the country day after day hour after hour and not light up when i want!

I DO NOT smoke in the Golf when i have my 6 year old daughter with me!

They banned using a mobile phone whilst driving years ago.... But even now i still see Men & Woman!! either on there phone or txt'ing.

So even if they do ban smoking when driving.... IT WONT WORK!!

Simples!

Can I just go back to Ants point...

As far as I am aware you cannot eat in a car, you can however consume a drink. I would like to make comparisons to say a business man dropping a sandwich on his lap, to that of a lit fag, or the end of the fag falling out... How many cars have you seen with "blim holes" in the seats from previous owners.

Surely this is a risk in its own right?
Mk3 Golf Gti:Full Milltek system and Decat,K&N filter,mk2 Cam,-1.5 degree camber shims, borbet a's, toyo proxies, hot tuning coils, brembo vented discs, greenstuff pads...Soon to have Eaton Power

mk3 16v 5dr Gti,mintex extreme pads,drilled/grooved discs, lowered, cat back powerflow system, omp panel filter with modified airbox, debadged grill, started prep for spraying, lots to come :D

You can eat in a car.

Its just some jobsworth cops strictly apply the "driving without due care and attention" rules.

^^^ they should only be smoking in a designated smoke area at work
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...
