Please help!!!!!
I have a Mark3 1.8GL 1992 and i think that the heater matrix has gone again
(4th time in 2 1/2 years) the first time i replaced myself (took 6 hrs)
after 2 mth this went so i though maybe I'd done something wrong.ÂÂÂ
I took it to my local VW garage(not dealer) and paid £350.00
for the privilege of it lasting less than 12 mths i took it back under warranty and had it replaced again
this time its lastest 8 months and i am getting that same old fishy smell (yes the wifes knickers are clean besides she's not in the car LOL)
symptoms are:-
Dry carpet
Slight misting on any heater setting
fishy smell
Please help as if i don't get rid of the smell my wife will think i am having an affairÂÂÂ
has anybody had similar problems? or does anyone know what the cause is??
Seriously thinking of scrapping the car as i think £350.00 every 12 mths (if i am lucky) is too much to pay
don't want to get rid of her as just starting to look good
