Lol i make number plates at work to. The plates need to have the postcode of the place that made it, and the correct UK stamped number. bsau 145d. If they are reflective and of the right font, theyre legal. The police wont know that you didnt have to show your V5 or V11 etc to get a plate made up.

Well if they checked the records the supplier should keep then it could get interesting

Surely when you order them they will have enough details? Reg number, name and address of buyer, bank details...

Surely when you order them they will have enough details? Reg number, name and address of buyer, bank details...

Genuine number plate supplies are supposed to keep copies of reg doc plus photo id as well

I got mine at a show. all I gave was the plate number and they are legal all marked up as said.

I've got pulled over two weeks ago (3rd time in 8 years) thought it was for the plates, but it was for my rear tyres, he thought they was bald on the inside. They aint. he Then radioed through and done all the checks reading the reg plate over to, whoever lol All fine of course. He said keep a eye on them and I have a nice car. maybe he is a golf lover.

I cannot see anywhere in that ad that says you need to send docs in which case they are not legal.

Because as I posted earlier an official number plate supplier has to see id and reg doc before making the plates then keep copies afterwards.
