Rare PCI-E x1 slot

Anyone know what hardware to fill this with its really useless but not sure whats available X1 WTF?

Into one of those slots you can fix a modem (yeah wtf), wifi card or sound card.

Wifi Cards, New sound cards, Killer Network Cards all use PCI e 1x :)

The only issues I have is the space is taken over by a Graphics card passively cooled hence the heat sink is overlapping the space. I was thinking to upgrade and get that space free but any Wifi a usb would be eaiser! I did like the sound card but them I could just upgrade the single PCI-E with onboard sound built in as well.

Unless you have USB3, PCI e 1x will be much faster. You will get significant improvements with Wifi etc :)

I have a empty firewire plug, do they do anything via firewire? I'm so behind in tech  :rolleyes:

You need firewire devices to use that port, Cameras, video cameras, external hard drives etc Might as well get a USB3 card for the PCI-E slot.
