Yes. Private firms can't get your details from the DVLA to persue anything either.

Private firms can buy the info from the DVLA.
However it is a civil matter.

how about one of those posts that fold up or down, and that can be locked in the up position with a padlock when you are not there?

failing that, poo on a stick wiped under the door handle works a treat

I've thought about that before... I'll look at making one up.

I get nobs parking across my driveway entrance at home every sunday, people visiting the church. So if I have a visitor, they can't park on my drive. Was a major problem for me when I had two cars, which I will do again soon. I left a note on their window, a polite one and watched them screw it up and throw it in the street, so I went out and had a go at them. f**king church goers should know better.

Eh?  The most self-righteous and sanctimonious people in society should know better?  They do.  They know better than you.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

Just be glad you don't live near a school the parking attendants hide until the mothers drop them off then slap the tickets on there screens
The only real solution I've seen is to dig two holes drop a metal bollard with locks fill with cement. Pain in the arse when you want to just drive in and out though!  :lipsrsealed:
