but I bet they would however, know that 0 + 1 doesn't in fact, actually equal 0.

that has to have been a typo!! surely even in the 1800's the education system taught them better than that  :huh:

Is Len going to come back and explain at any point?? :lipsrsealed:

Jesus who thinks it = 0?
I'm a tad shocked but brackets would boost that IQ level up a tad!

Keep up at the back!

You cant add 1 to nothing!
Because you have nothing to add to.

20 + 20 = 40

40 x 0 = 0

0 + 1 = 0

Remember forum friends, if you are out tonight and have had say, 0 pints, that if you go to the bar and get yourself 1 pint, that you then proceed to drink, you will honestly have then had in total, 1 pint. Not 0, definitely not.

I've heard that before, but it only makes sense verbally and in this case to do that correct math you can view doing the equation back wards to make more sense to peeps!

Len look at it this way.... if you have one then add nothing you are left with one

1+0=1
20x0=0
1+20
left with 21

Ive got two kids and one is Autistic he struggles with Math and reading is hard for him, but instead if learning the usual way I have to impliment strategies so he can remember and work the answers out correctly even though its frustrating.
AND do I feel bitter about having to prop up his education because the schools are failing him YES!  :cry:
