I'd say 4-5k mate. Wouldn't pay anymore than 5k anyway. However if it looks good and ya fall in love, price can go up as the owner knows he can get more than its worth. Often the case with Modded VW's. It depends what its worth to you but ?4500 is about right. Don't limit your self to the anniversary car. It was just a clever way for VW to shift alot of Golfs! I think you will find a better car if you widen your search!

Sounds ok to me. I would go for an anniversary if the price is reasonable, the spec on them is nice.

I wouldn't pay too much of a premium for the Anniversary over a standard GTI. They should be around the same price so I reckon 4.5-5k is about right.

If you do find one, make sure you know what extra bits it should come with. I saw a few advertised which claimed to be anniversary's but were missing some of the extra trim.

They are more common than the sellers think, so don't let them give you the sales spiel about special edition etc.

Quite agree, a 'rare' car doesn't always mean its worth loads.

any car is only worth what the next person is willing to pay for it.
