hi ya.i have a mk1 gti.i have a pair of fiesta rs turbo recaros,that i would like to put in.but i do not know if i can or how to do this.can anyone help please?

You can either, cut up the original mk1 seats, for the subframe, and have it welded on to the recaro's, or buy some recaro/vw sub frames which if you can find, will cost a bomb.

The other alternative, is to bolt them in to your floor straight off the rails they are fixed to, but then you lose your height adjust/forward and backward movement.

On this theme does anybody know what the options for new seats are ?

I assume any Scricco seats will fit straight in as well as any Cab seats.

Is it possible to fit MK2 seats or are they completely different, what about corrado's ?

Mk2, cabrio and Mk1 front seats are definately all interchangeable. I have Mk2 front seats in my cabrio.

I have recaro's in the front of my cab (standard fit too!)

fiesta rst seats! nice shame they werent a standard fit in all gti,s, been trying to pick a set of them up to bang in my mk2 how much were they?

in the process of fitting similar seats to my cabby ((from an escort rst) excuse the language) getting some brackets fabricated to fit, doesnt look to bad of a job as the recaros come with runners.
