16v sounding like sh7t,,

My 16v has developed a problem an is struggling 2 start, Fires fine at 1st then stops a second an then goes again firing up on about 5th turn of starter motor,,
And then when its runnin its tappin like crazy, I dont even want 2 take it over 4000rpm as it just sounds sh7t,
I did oil an filter change this morning but its still the same,,

If its rattling top end likely to be oil pump.

Is that a big job ,,

Sump off and a couple of bolts to take off and inspect. There's normally a buzzer that goes off

I have had no buzzer going off, I have heard this buzzer before when low on oil.,
But its not gone off on this problem,,

I believe the buzzer goes off due to low pressure.

So its not the oil pump then if the buzzer not gone off,
Or have i misread that,,

well if top end is rattling that bad I would have thought the oil wasn't being sent up to the cylinder head.

It didnt even have the decency of going in the summer did it, 
Had 2 wait until the clocks went back an became damp an wet,
