House music lovers
« on: 05 November 2011, 00:07 »
Started a new mix project the other day as its been a very long time coming
Its titled 'A Journey Through House' and is a collection of DJ mixes from myself mapping house music from 1987 through to the present day (I am well aware House music started before 1987 but this is when, in my opinion, it really started to come into its own)
Volume 1 is 1987-1989 and is here
http://soundcloud.com/djbenvictors/ben-victors-a-journey-through
You can download the mix from soundcloud too.
Volume 2, 1990-1992, will be coming very soon so I will update this post when it happens.
Any feedback, good or bad, is greatly appreciated
Cheers.

Italian station "radio party groove" is excellent for house music. No talking just music 24 hrs.

too far back for me too but it's vocal house that first got me into mixing, I remember listening to a guy's demo tapes in his BMW 318 back when I was still at school in my weekend job and I loved it

The tunes on the first mix sound dated but so good at the same time

Downloading mix 2 now, will have a listen tomorrow. Keep up the good work :afro:

www.di.fm has a number on house radio stations (also techno, goa-psy, various styles of trance, chiptunes, breaks etc etc etc)

I don't think a semi will give the same results
