how was the original airbox held in place and where did the airfeed go? i plan a filter panel fed by a new cold airfeed from where yours is (next to the horn?)

Alan...

The airbox was located in the recess where the new filter is now, held in with rubber bands! Didn't have an air feed on the standard box apart from the one from the exhaust manifold  And yeah, now got the air feed from next to the horn... plan to take the horn off and take the air feed from the small grill the horn covers up, and as for the horn... a relocated air horn me thinks!

Might just "whip" it off again to clean all under it, loada crap there...

Blue Mk2...

was meant to be £200 - £250 but "aquired" one for £90 new!!  :lipsrsealed:

If your Mk2 is a 16v i'm not sure you can get one cos of the mechanical fuel thingy mounted on the airbox, if 8v then you're laughing... or growling!!!!

Got the exhaust and induction kit... now to chip the girl!

On taking off my airbox i noticed if had been drilled by the previous owner... anyone interested? offers (standard filter)

Mr custard. If you still have your airbox could you do us a favour and measure the diameter of the hole where the elbow attatches so i can find out what size air feed ducting i'll need? save me getting dirty   thanks
