Airbox
« on: 04 November 2011, 19:09 »
On my 1.4 it has a airbox on top of the engine and I want to put a short ram intake or something similar instead for cosmetic reasons and for a better sound but all the ones i found are for engines with with separate air boxes like on the bigger engined golfs. So how easy is a custom and how would i go round making and fitting it :) or does anyone know of a kit available ??

If you have two filters then major fail. Major. Does it even sound louder with the induction kit there? The airbox is what quietens the engine down, and you've still got it fitted...oh and you'd have lost power from having the filter there, its sucking in hot air

Just to clarify, is there currently an air filter inside your air box as well as the cone filter or is the airbox empty?
