i suppose its more of a track day part

Yes leave them parts to the stripped out racers imo,
Not for everyday driving, it would wind me up

I disagree TBH, the VWR mount does need a good couple of thousand miles to settle, but is a big improvement over the power flex etc bushes IMHO

I used one on both my Mk5 ED30 DSG and Mk6 GTI DSG daily drivers

fitted my torque arm insert today

pretty straight forward apart from when i first pressed it in with a packer and trolly jack (with the bolt out as per the instructions) it made the OEM mount crooked and unable to line the bolt hole up. so i had to remove it (not easy!), put bolt back in then make a wooden circle with a hole cut in the centre to clear the bolt so i could press it in with the jack evenly and keep the bolt in a the same time

so anyone fitting one i would say leave the bolt IN while you press the insert into position.

took it for a drive and instantly notice the engine and gearbox are more direct.

there is more vibration at low rpm/idle/pulling away but there is no lurching when changing gears and there is less hesitation between the throttle and the drive train.

a good cheap upgrade
