Fogged Up Windscreen - Solutions ?
« on: 02 November 2011, 08:54 »
Well its about that time of year again when each time i get in the car I need to spend 5 minutes waiting for the air con to demist my bloody windscreen !!!  Another month then i get the added joy of having to defrost the interior glass as well as the exterior.

Other than giving it a really good clean has anyone got any good solutions to this or have they used either of the Anti Fog products in this link ?

RainEx is meant to be really good.

Other option is to buy a bulk load of silica packets and stick them in a box under your seat.

Plus check carpets for moisture in foot wells as water has to be getting in from somewhere in order to coat the inside of the screen.

Think I have some RainEx somewhere so will give that a go.

Out of interest how many silica packets is considered "bulk" ?

My Audi never used to mist up, ran the aircon all the time all the way through the winter too, but this new fandangled Mk6 seems to mist up like Pamela Anderson's filming on the back seat in this cooler weather!

+1 how much is considered bulk silica packets to liberate about the vehicle.

You wont need that many. I just put a few on the back seats and some in the sidepods and they did the trick.
