I got the one from Halfords yesterday for £1.49.. its fitted and works a treat! Yeah baby!!   Only took the other half 5 mins to fit too!

I'm glad I've just read this thread.

The squealing noise that you described when steering is exactly what I keep hearing on my wife's car (Vauxhall Corsa  ). Completely different car I know, but what I'm hearing is almost identical to what you describe.

Thanks loonie midget, you may have just helped me find the source of an annoying fault on a completely different car!
