Lining indicators and fogs up.

Ok just got myself some nice after Market smoked indicators with dummy fogs.
The ones with them stupid metal clips that hold them in.
What is the trick to getting them to sit flush with each other the fake fog and long indicator bit I mean. That metal clip when in correct position does not have them flush. Indicator stick out abit and I'm really fussy and want it flush. I have tried bending that metal clip so it pulls it in tighter but still not good enough for me.
What's the trick to getting this spot on?

May just be crap fitment aftermarket stuff, but make sure the pivot pin is pushed right into the housing for the blank.

It's not that type of fitnent. It's 2 piece.
Indicator is one long bit that goes all the way to fake fog. Fake dog slides in one side with 2 screws other side. And long indicator slides into 2 slots then metal clip bit pushes behind fog and holds it in.

I had the same problem mate and im really anal like you so spent bloody hours shimming one side up to match the other.I used bolts to fix the fog in in(mine arnt dummy if it makes any difference)i used nylocs to secure them but varied the tightness on the bolts to get the desired flush fitting.

I guess another trick,although a bit of a pikey way to do it to pull them in flush in the middle where im guessing the problem lies is to get a tie wrap around the silver clip and get your bonce under the front bumper and attach it to the bumper iron pulling it till it is flush.
Like i said a pikey way to do it but it would do the job.

I know exactly what you mean,i had similar with mine.I felt like the indictors would fall out if i hit a bump.I messed araound with the metal clip and after a while it just snapped into place nice and snug and flush.I had to reshape the clip a bit until i got it right though.

i mhave finaly got it flush enough to be happy with it. i used bolts on figs aswell and i but a few washers between fog and bumper just on the top bolt as it was sticking out at the top more than the bottom. there is still about 3mm diferance but they all look spot on and good enough so im happy with it. i reshaped the metal clip to make it pull tighter about 6 times till i got it right.
im very happy with the results now.
am pretty happy they sent the wrong ones to as i ordered clear chrome ones but they sent clear chrome smoked and look pretty good on the car.

got them from dubmonkeys online. they are jom ones.

I had the same that came with the car, looked nice til one part of it flew out and clocked a Mazda behind @ 90MPH.

WTF just got my car out the garage and one of the indicators has popped out again. And now none if my indicators work. If I put my hazards on they come on but the one that popped out don't.

Lol the bulb holder had worked it's way loose and popped out. I kept hearing a dragging sound wile I was driving. It was the bulb disintegrating on the floor wile it was being dragged under the car. Which blow the fuse lol. My fault. Use have forgotten to clip twist the bulb holder in propply lol. All fixed again now.

Big gutted tho as in my old indicators I used the chrome bulbs so you could not see any Amber colour reflecting on the chrome but the bulbs are different in these. The 2 side pin bits are not centred opasit each other. They are the offset pin bulbs if you no what I mean.
Dam it them chrome bulbs where expensive.
