Advice on VAG COM
« on: 31 October 2011, 11:19 »
Just got my first golf been having a lot of minor issues but im looking to get the car to a decent spec in the next 6 weeks. A friend has said getting a VAG COM would be a good idea. I dont really know a lot about these and there seems to be a massive selection from £15 upto about £400.

Whats a good one to get and a good price to pay, is it possible to buy second hand ones or do the software things only do one registration?

Any advice or links to cheap places to buy would be great.

Thanks

get a cable from ebay for about £15 (try not to go for chinese ones  )

then regester it with ross tech for about £70

thats the best way imo unless your wanting to do all the vag group (newer cars etc..)

Any fault code reader will do, doesn't have to be VAG COM.
80% of your posts are total tripe, as they are mostly replies to sh1te posts created by the morons that, unfortunately this forum attracts.

Yeah i was looking for ages but the ones that are windows based seem to cost a fortune around the £200 mark which is too much for me to be spending, wont be working on it much myself

thanks for all the help posters
