I swear my cat knows what lay down means....
When he comes into my room I say "just lay down" and he lays down next to me.
I don't have conversations with him mind you!

i talk to the cat sober all the time,

only usually to call him a c*nt for nicking some food or getting under my feet.  :laugh:

my last cat would meow if you asked him questions, wether he knew what we were saying or not...
