front inner arch liner ? help please

hi all ive just picked up my first golf its very low and fitted with 19s
the problem is the tyers have rubbed through the front inner arch liner and now catches when on full lock
can i trim them down, remove them altogether or do i need to replace them ?

You do need to have them. They protect the inside of the wings from stone chips and water which would cause corrosion.

i removed mine! haha, 1st my 19s went through them, then my bumper bolts tore through the top mounting places, then i had to trim through for my FMIC piping.

ended up with a colander for a inner wheel arch. and found more gunk,water,leaves etc stuck in behind it with it in, than it did with them removed.

could always remove it and try fabricate some plastic/ rubber liner that sits flush with the inside of the pannels to stop rusting ect? or paint the inside if you were that worried about rusting? not sure how much space there is behind the arch liners, know its enough to get a lot of crap behind there but never had to take mine off.

loads of room, I wash mine out every time the car gets a clean.

if your running 19s then you will always have scraping. im guessing your using 5mm spacers on the front or something yeah?
