Woopsie!
« on: 25 October 2011, 20:47 »
Right, my rents have gone away for the week. Today i decided to do a bit of spray tinting, it was raining outside and i'd just cleaned my room. So i put alot of old towels and covers on the floor. Just tidied the mess up and what do i find?! BLOODY PAINT ON THE CARPET!

Its black spray tint, ive tried water and soap but its dried in now. What do i do! Ill get my ass kicked if it stains.

try a small amount of petrol on a nail brush.
not as harsh as a paint stripper but it will dissolve spray tint.
(just be careful as it may take the dye off the carpet)

then wash with soapy water to remove petrol residue.

or try a stain remover.

nail varnish remover should do it, let it soak in, then add more and give it a scrub!

i think nail varnish remover sounds like a good idea. Lol the annoying thing is, the stain is next to the rug. And that rug had been there for years, so if i move if, they'll know somethings up!

Yep that will do it!

Or turps.

But with both you will need something to mask the smell afterwards.
