I wouldn't recommend doing it while the router is in warranty as changing the software will void it...

but all I did was find the software on the net (d-link website mainly) for the router and try each one out.

t.b.h I don't 100% trust these tests as my local server (Hull 20 miles) is much slower than one far far away! Oh and this is wireless

I am happy with those, seeing as I am 2 and bit miles from the exchange, so my speed can never be to quick

Meh, I sync at 8Mb and my max downloads from other sources indicate a max speed of 7.5Mb on a good day, when the wind blows in the right direction and the planets are aligned correctly and a crow is circling above.
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.
