I had an appointment for 27th November but BT cancelled it, no proper reason given.  The area has FTTC signed off and ready to go.  Best excuse I've had so far is a survey needing to be done, but they're arguing over which part of OpenRearch are suposed to be doing it.

Apparently my case has been escalated, but due to any bad experiences with BT in the past I'm not holding my breath.

You dont need a survey if its a new estate and the line plane was put in by the builders its all done by the postcode, the computer will match your postcode to the local line plant.

Proof BT don't know what they're doing then.  All they need to do is come and switch the line on and install a new fibre faceplate to the box in the lounge.  This simple taste seems to illude them though.  I'v even paid £52 for the privilege of no one getting off their ass to fix the problem.

you are a customer of your service provider ,they should be dealing with appointments, who contacted you to tell you it had been cancelled if ever made. :undecided:

You'll probably find it's Sky's fault for not booking it with BT OpenReach and their standard reply is "BT's fault, not ours!!!"

I had to ring up to find out, no one called me.  Sky made the appointment through their BT system, and BT responded to say the appointment was cancelled.

Sky have rung BT three times now and keep getting fobbed off with the same responses.

Your service provider should have rang you to tell you it had been cancelled if ever made, openreach are VERY busy at the moment  but even so they rarely cancel a appointment, so if the appointment was never made you will have to wait for some time.I have lost count of the times i have turned up at a end users address to install or fault their line to find no one home and when you manage to contact them they all ways say "no one told me i had a appointment" its your service provider who should keep you upto date

What a day.  A few hours after Sky texting to say my appointment is going ahead I get a phone call from Openreach to say that they're on their way!  Then I get a text from Sky 3 minutes later saying that an engineer is coming this afternoon!

He didn't now anything about having ordered Fibre, so it's another call to Sky tomorrow when I have time.  Better than nothing though!!
