Airbag faults from VAGCOM on ABF
« on: 24 October 2011, 04:23 »
hi all

Got these faults when I plugged my car into a VAGCOM recently. The airbag light was blown in the dash, and sure enough when I replaced the bulb its now permanently illuminated

Anyone had similar problems or know where to send me??
-did a search nobody has had this resolved here...

[I'm also getting intermittent crank speed sensor faults but those aren't NCT(irish mot) fails]

You only ever need two tools in life. If it moves and it shouldn't use Duct Tape. If it does not move and it should, use WD40.

Yeah cheers Wayne that seems to be what i've been looking for.

What does it mean by 'individual control module' as opposed to 'multiple control modules' in the special notes?
I'm guessing a control module is a section in the vagcom...

I went and forked out for a crank speed sensor a few weeks ago, haven't had tome to fit it yet, not sure if i need to now as the crank speed sensor probs may also be caused by poor groundings/battery/alternator...

individual control module - i.e. airbag, ecu, abs, etc - multiple control modules - i.e. all of them.
