Door Handles: Nearside and Offside?
« on: 23 October 2011, 17:23 »
Hi everyone.  First post here and thought I'd start with a daft one.  Are the passenger side door handles any different to the drivers side handles?

I've just bought (but not yet collected) a 5 door Mk3 and the exterior part of the lock is missing from the front passenger door.

I was just going to buy a rear door handle but noticed some adverts state nearside or offside and some don't mention at all.

I'm guessing that they are exactly the same but wanted to doublecheck first........although after searching through the delock threads on here I am also tempted to buy four Mk4 Polo rear door handles and change them all

Well the locking mechanism will be upside down if you fit an O/S to the N/S
