I lol @ the people saying M3 or M5 do these people not think of running costs etc

People don't think of running cost because its not their car and op asked for suggestions for something nice. besides if you wanted something with low running costs it wouldn't be a skoda it would be a Honda...

Point missed again, yes you can buy a Bmw m3 / m5 for £5000 but it could well end up costing you that in the first year.

You seem to be the only idiot with a problem about my Skoda, from memory you drive a Corsa

Wasn't making any comment on your car as such, you suggested an octavia vrs (not in the same league as any cars mentioned) why insult the op by implying he can't afford to run such machines.

fyi i do drive a corsa and its a far better car than an old skoda (i have driven one )

Have you driven any vxrs?

Never seen the appeal. An MX5 offers as much fun for much less.

I really like S2k's.

A VRS is a good practical all rounder, why they are designed for. I don't need a 4 door hatchback. That's what the 406 is for ;)

That M5 is very nice. But the E46 M3 is just a bit rich for me at the minute. But E36 M3 sounds good.

Anyone familiar with a VAMOS which seems to play up on them?

Your Corsa is better than an Octavia VRS? A preconceived opinion based on the badge maybe?

I have owned a mk1 Octavia VRS and they are great cars in every aspect apart from handling but what do you expect for the size of the car on standard suspension. I will be getting another one in the near future.

I haven't owned an Astra or Corsa VXR but love the look of them and have thought about getting one and wouldn't go slagging them off when I haven't owned one (Vauxhalls I do know like to throw the engine management light on a regular basis but thats based on previous experience of Vauxhalls of the past)...

As for Honda reliability on the whole they are reliable like VAG cars (including Skoda) but they are not bomb proof like everyone who hasn't had any experience of them likes to think !!

I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...
