Lowering, but how?????
« on: 20 October 2011, 09:27 »
I know these questions get asked all the time on here but I've been deliberating over this now for weeks :undecided:

Think I've made my mind up on a set of Eibach sportline springs and some uprated shocks (not sure which yet) but wondering how much it'll lower my 16v as it's allready factory lower by 15mm.

Also will the front wheelgap be the same as the rear?

Also how will the ride be?

The other option I was thinking would be Weitec GT coilovers???

Anybody got pics of a mk3 with sportline springs?

Your better off with Coilovers as you can change the height if you are unhappy as you wont be able to with the springs. I have a 60mm fixed drop on the back of mine on 16s but would still like to go another 20mm!

Depends which springs you buy mate.
Can very for 30mm to 60mm drop.

The front and rear height differs also, so if you want the same all round then as Wherry says - coilovers

Avoid cheap coilovers (not worth the hassle)

A good quality spring / shock kit is the best way forward.

Only if you really want coilovers, if not a good quality spring / shock kit will do the job.

Are these the same as Boge shocks? Are they the same company?
