No room in my pokey garage for a wheel rack unless I chuck some other junk out. Maybe it's time I chucked some other junk out ...

Throw the junk out and get a wheel rack fabricated.
A good wheel rack can be fitted high up out of the way, and offer great, secure storage for wheels and tyres...
A local Blacksmith/fabricator will be able to knock one up cheaply.

In fact, don't do it.
You will then decide you need more wheels to fill it.
Then you will extend it...
And buy even more wheels.
Trust me...it's a slippery slope :-)
