Forza 4 Problem.. Car loses power intermittently?

I feel like this should be in the technical section!

I've got a BMW 2002 turbo with the E30 engine, fully uprated drivetrain and chassis with a couple of engine upgrades..

But I've got a weird problem where it just randomly loses power, the revs will drop right down to around 3-4k and I usually have to change gear to try and get my power back. I've got all the assists turned off except ABS so I've no idea why this is happening! It's making me lose races.


Any ideas? Do I need to tune the car or something?

can you get it re-mapped might take the flat spots out

Go to the upgrade shop and on power upgrades have a look at the HP graph, is there a big dip at the revs you're experiencing?

Oh and remember that if you crash or bump around the engine it'll damage it and it will misfire.

does disconnecting the blue temp sensor make any difference? if not check timing.

Thanks for the advice everyone - It turned out to be a £2.00 "tuning box" had been fitted by a previous owner!
