4s battery life
« on: 19 October 2011, 08:47 »
Greeting 4s users.

How are you guys finding the battery life on your phones?

I don't use mine for calling just Internet and mail but the battery is on around 20% at the end of the day, my 4 was used in the same way and was on around 50% by the end of the day.

Usage is as follows

Hours 8am - 8pm

Calls around 3 mins ( I use a nokia for calls lol )

Emails around 1 hour

Internet around 2 hours

5 photos

LED light 5 mins

3G on

Siri on

Location off

I'm going to try it with Siri off today, I appriciate the processor will use more juice but really?

Anyone else noticed this?

Apple stated battery life was down a 1/3 on the 4.

Battery is slightly larger but doing processor intensive stuff will use more battery. Its so much faster than the 4 so will inevitably use more battery.

I still find it pwns my 3GS!

By internet for 2 hours do you mean just having the wifi on? or actually browsing for 2 hours solid?

If the latter then yeah that will hemorrhage battery on most phones if im honest. If i blitzed the internet on my old battery than would be pretty drained by the end of the day.

Granted my new bb is not as good as the old one..

I could ask them, and they probably wont get back to me. You could ask apple why its so crap and they probably will get back to you. Its hardly going to make the battery any better though is it??

Once Siri is released properly it should sort the battery life out. Still i am using it all day and not having to charge it till bed. The 3GS had to have a boost through the day
