Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum, I'm on a couple other forums but are BMW and Merc forums which have both helped me in a big way when I get problems or need advice about my cars. I've just purchased a golf mk5 gt tdi 140 5 door, not gonna do anything barring a remap! I'm just using it as a run around. I have a couple of questions, what is the difference between the 140 and 170 engines and turbos if any? Why is there a difference in the power if they are the same engine? That's if they are! Also I'm in east london, can any recommend a good known place for a remap! I want more power throughout the rev range and as much power as possible but without risking anything going wrong with the engine! What sort of figure can I expect to get if anyone on the forum has had the same car as mine remapped already?
