The forz(a) is strong on this one
« on: 13 October 2011, 23:39 »
I'd like to exchange GT5 and my 250gb slim ps3 for an xbox 360 and forza 4. Anyone know best way to go about this without spending money? Don't mind having an used xbox so long as it's in decent condition and works perfectly (bear in mind my ps3 has not a huge amount of use even though it's almost 2 years old).

take your ps3 to game store and trade it in for xbox 360, thats what I did with mine but I had more games. Still got about £100 on my gift card to spend

Went to game and they said that for my PS3 and GT5 they'll give me about £130. To be fair it seems very little

They said I could get a second hand 360 with Forza 4 and 1 year's warranty by paying £30 more. Or if I paid £70 more I could get a new Xbox. Do you reckon I could get more than £130 for the PS3 and GT5 on ebay? Because to be fair I think having to pay £30 for a second hand one and then £40 for xbox live seems a massive waste of money  :undecided:

trouble is a brand new 320gb ps3 can be had for £200 delivered to your door with a warranty. so i'd say your offer ain't that bad. xbox live costs cause it doesn't get hacked once a month and just works.

Awesome mate you're a legend!

I've gone a different route about this now.

Saw on offer from Argos on TV. Brand new Xbox Slim 250gb with kinect sensor, forza 4 and fifa 12 for £250. Have reserved this for pickup tomorrow. Going to sell the Kinect sensor as it's worth £100 brand new (sell for £85 or so) then sell my PS3 and GT5 on ebay for £120-£130 or sell it to game, depends what they give me and that way I'll have a brand new slim model with 2 games for the same price I'd pay for the exchange at Game

Toby, PM me that code and tomorrow night when I get home I'll set everything up and join the Golf forza 4 crew WOOP WOOP!

Kinect causes to many problems, when I'm playing the boxing I keep smacking the living room light and blowing the bulbs
