Not very well as it has a silly flappy paddle, double clutch, heavy assed gearbox 

I fixed that for you Snoopy 

 
It is a shame that gearboxey will eat itself sooner or later due to a tiny huge design flaw

Only you can decide some love DSG and some prefer manual. Try both and see what you prefer.

My mate spent all his time trying to explain to people what DSG is, its two clutches etc etc etc as when people noticed the shift lever they would ask why he had bought an automatic. So basically if you buy a DSG you have to be a bit of a   

(stating a fact of his experience)

This gets done every week. Its a personal opinion. Test it. Posting pointless videos where a car has no drag and keeps up with a faster car in front isnt going to help the OP decide 

Test one, buy the one you like.

It's personal choice...drive both with your eyes wide open, and buy the one that you prefer, for the majority of driving you do.

You will find we share the same platform, the Golf R is an S3 also. So not lost at all.

I have not brought this section much at all. I was in here when it first started with my previous user name though, and helped a few people with various questions, about DSG most likely!
