Scaffs actually make a lot most of them are on 60k a year!!! good job to get in to and always required especially on the rustbucket sh!thole platforms in the northsea...

Im from a drilling side i.e downhole tools the easiest way to get in to that is roustie jobs which atlantic resourcing are good for...

But on a more mechanical side you should try RBG i know they hire plumbers

thats fine!

lol i have never touched drug's

applied on one site! my gf's step dad's ,brothers, son works on the rig's earn's over 100k a year!

Probably a day rater.

drilling and scafolding i wouldnt mind. wealding is a art, tryed it and it looked sh!tttttte!

If you don't mind hard graft go for drilling if you want similar money to start off and a lot easier job scaffolding would be your best bet.

Offshore does give you a very comfortable lifestyle but once you are in the industry it is very difficult to turn your back on it if you don't like it because you will be so used to the money that going back to a job on the beach will be a huge pay cut.

I wouldn't make it out of the chopper for the test so wouldn't get as far as a rig

Exactly Phil couldnt have said it better problem is just now there is so many people trying to get offshore... They get caught up listening to big numbers of salaries etc.. but truth of it is massive salaries are usually achieved after years of graft unless of course you have a good trade like scaffolding but even then the wages dont come for a couple of years till you get experience as my mate is finding just now 5 yrs a scaff on the beach but as he said its a diff game offshore hes still classed as a trainee..
