I had one years ago, was KA3 so had aircon, leather etc. I thought it was a good car. Quite nippy for a town car, a hoot on B-roads and roundabouts and good on fuel. Cheap to maintain as well as it's all Fiesta bits so plenty of scrap yard parts available. Mine never suffered with rot but I sold it when it was less than 5 years old.

Ka3? OK cool cheers.

Just had a look at a Puma, £1354.

So that's another £600 and tbf, since it's a temporary car not really worth it.

One up the road from me, dealer, 70K miles, absolutely mint looking no MOT or Tax but £300. MOT doesn't bother me really but obviously if it's rotten will be underneath.....

Where all my moneys went.

Golf MK3 1.6. Golf MK3 8v GTI.

They are ok for what they are and they do go round corners well for what they are. Saw a Cinquicento the other day that was on its arse and had stupidly wide wheels that looked about 1billion times better than a Ka though (although it probably drives like crap and fell apart five minutes after it drove out of view).

Ace little cars, handle really well

best small car out of the lot of them, even if you do look gay in them haha..

rust is bad, paint is so thin they may aswell have not bothered

Engines last forever, but its old tech on the early cars. some leak in on the bulkhead which is a known fault but ignored by the dealers, only way to fix it is removal of dash or engine. you can check by lifting the paper thin carpets haha

they are not built for huge miles or speed.. but for what they were made to do, they do it well

WHAT!?!??!?!

All the KA's I've driven have wandered & pulled all over the road, even those which have literally just passed their MOTs at our test station (and we have a high failure rate!)

Avoid, get a fiesta instead, preferably 02 on (newer shape, dont rust). They handle well and feel like a 'proper' car!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

If you plan to get a ka go for the hard top sport, its the only one that makes sense to me, not bad cars I drove my misses a few times.

Don't get a matiz, I had a go in the 0.8 auto, worst thing I have driven ever! One M roads it struggles and cant decide what gear it needs when it feels a bit of strain and that before you even hit 70
