Mk 4 GTI Central Locking
« on: 09 October 2011, 17:38 »
Hi, I bought a Mk4 GTI on friday and there is only one problem with it. I can unlock the car with the remote fob but it wont lock the car...i have to press the button inside or manually lock it with the key?? Also the drivers light on the door card and the interior lights are always on....i can turn the interior lights off but have had to take the bulb out of the door one?

Can anyone help me? its a bit of a pain as its my new car

Cheers

I replaced the switch, cheap fix that part was sucessful. Now the light works as it should and so does the fob. The only thing is I need to reset the system, probably by unplugging the battery as there's still some fault codes lurking around for the locks etc.
