votech console in a mk3

does anyone know if this has been done/fits into a mk3. I'm looking into putting the VDO gauges into my mk3 but dont really know whatother options I have.

i have got some vdo for my mk3 and not sure where to put them ,
its either where the stereo is (you can get a ready made plate) or where the ashtray is, will require some work!
or in the centre cubby hole
let me know what you do as i would like to see the result

will probably for for ready made kit that fits in the centre console under the ashtray, will be looking out for it at inters, also sparkz from performancevw forum has some to sell. not sure about mounting these in door pods, would like to see these moving, a bit difficult if in door pods. would like to mount them where stereo is but dont know if stereo will fit in center console under ashtry, dont want to do a 'cut and shut' jobbie!
