I have the same feeling about a tablets in general, I want one, but can't find one that:

A) Suits me and my needs/wants/desires (oddly enough the iPad matches most of what I'm looking for)
B) Will I really use it ? I have laptops, a desktop and a cool phone that does cool things
C) I don't really like the current Android 3.0 tablets, Android 2.X tablets do everything my phone does...
D) Do I wait for Windows 8?  :undecided:

If I were you I'd wait 3-4 months for  the iPad 2S/3
Passat B5.5 2.3 V5 170, with all the extras.

Im not sold to the ipad dispite owning apple products imo.

Im just not sure where it fits in.

The iphone is fast and easy access to a quick google search or facebook access.

If i want to write a letter, sit on internet, shop online, photo edit etc i turn on the macbook pro. Only takes seconds to load up.

Where does a tablet fit into your life?

Is it just the easy way out for people who dont have the ability to use a PC/Mac.

Just to clarify the above.

It dont matter if its an iphone or any other smart phone. Or a macbook or windows pc.

Its where does the tablet fit into life when u have a smart phone and computer/laptop.

You'll just buy one, surely.

We have got one recently in work.  It's for demo-ing a system of ours.

I can see if you're a casual browser, who's watching TV you might just pick it up, because it's instant-on.

The Google Maps interface is significantly sh*tter than on my Android phone.

The on-screen keyboard works better than my phone.

After using it I felt a hollow feeling in my soul, as if a small part of it had just died.

I bought one the other month, they're quite nice. When you're sat on the sofa and want to check Facebook and a few other sites it's great. iPhone is too small to use for proper browsing really.

I still feel they're a bit over priced though, cost £479 for the 32GB version. Got it more to keep the other half happy really, she uses it the most.

Do I need it?  No. Is it nice to have though? Yes.

If you travel a lot they are awesome! I read magazines on mine, browse the net for casual stuff (not so good for this as the keyboard is not as good as a real one)

Its the best tablet on the market at the moment, battery life is awesome and the screen is great.

They are definitely a luxury toy though. There is no need for them.
