What would you do?

What would you do...

I have an AGU with 007p and filter, looking to get a map etc. but thinking to upgrade bits and then get map instead of mapping now?  Is this best?

If going turbo upgrade now or later, would you say I would be best to get a k03s or an ebay k04-001 as they would be around similar prices (give or take 40 quid)?

Any advice would be appreciated.  I have give it a good service etc last week.

K03s would be the cheaper n more simpler upgrade option, but k04 is the beast

I'd go for k04-001, wit the k03s you will get some flavor and eventually want a k04-001, skip he middle man and go for the thing that makes sense IMO.

The cheaper Chinese duplicates, the cast finish is not as good, lower build quality overall but some people have been getting good results, they do need some seeing to. I know the actuators need adjusting when put on otherwise they won't last. Personally ring R-tech nick has been harassing these turbos for a few customers as well as hybrid experimenting with 360bearings etc.

For a second hand k03s it's what £200, k04-001 copy is £250.

You need some pretty heavy upgrades for the K04 though don't you....
ARZ K03s, Oettinger Side Skirts, R32 front, Carbon stage 2, Forge 007p (yellow spring), Forge Actuator (yellow spring), Pipercross panel filter with DSG parts, N249 and N112 deleted, SAI deleted, Carbon canister deleted, Rear wiper deleted, Long Life turbo back custom exhaust with 200 cell sports cat, VR6/G60 clutch kit, Creation Motorsport TIP, Catch can, 'Wellycooler', K04 charge pipe, S3 ported inlet manifold - looks pretty standard on the outside though :)

only for the longitudinal k04 the transverse k04 is direct bolt on. the longitudinal k04 was fitted as standard in some S3`s and TT`s though with different manifolds, downpipes and oil/coolant lines ect to suit.
