« on: 04 October 2011, 15:23 »
Greeting MK6ers

Could a kind sould with OEM xenons take some photos of the beam pattern from their xenons from inside the car whilst shining onto a wall or something in both standard mode and "tourist" mode and post them up please?

Thanks in advance

Might even do a video of it to include the starting up light show.  Wow's all the girls!

I'm sure mine don't do the dance when I switch them on.
Not that I've driven it in the dark yet.

You need to take the lady out at night and she too will dance for you my friend!

Though they drink BP's finest rather than White Wine Spritzers, Cosmo's or Mohito's.

Hold on just had a thought, do girls cost more to run in drinks for the night?

cocktails at say £5/each, they consume two an hour that's £10/ hour.  Which sounds equivalent to a spirited drive to me.

Sorry buddy, alas not the best, got to the car with the gf's camera this morning to find a nice message "Memory Card Full".  will put some juice in mine and see what I get tomorrow morning, unless someone else has it.

When I ticked the "Travel Mode" the beam pattern dropped down Certainly on the drivers side) and shifted over more to the driver side.  (So looks like you don't get the same range in tourist mode) but it does shift the beam pattern over to the foreign curb.

Planning on a trip to a real German festive market doc?  Or maybe stocking up on booze for Chrimbles already?

A little know fact about some cars with projector lights is that they have this function, albeit manually adjusted.

With my B5.5 Passat, you remove one of the covers from the back of the light, fumble about and flick a toggle up or down. It alters the beam pattern by levelling off the beam and shuts off the light that kicks up to illuminate "our" ditch side that would otherwise dazzle Jonathan.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I had a go last night and had the same beam pattern results as Mr F (which is a given really), I attempted a photo but it just looks a complete blurry mess.
