I want to know what you guys think of this box known as inernet box/magic box with which you can watch all channels via internet on your TV. Is it legal or illegal and if it's illegal than how there are people selling these on their shops?

It isnt as good as you think. It sells in the same way as HIDs do. HIDs are not lgal but there are hundreds of places selling them, same as this box.

Although you can use it for watching TV 'for free' its not whats designed to do as such.

I understand this but if its not meant to do such, why doesn't sky/virgin/bt takes any action against them. I'm sure they must be aware of these as well. You spend one lum sum amount and you can watch all channels what they charge hefty amount for.

I think they did. If they find you using it expect a trip to court. They are sold so the buyer is liable.

Would be like banning a PC because someone could view horrific images or hack goverment websites.

No, that would be on the basis that they're mostly not bright enough to use the interweb and should be prevented from doing so.
