Google Chrome
« on: 01 October 2011, 22:15 »
I've been a die hard fan of Firefox for years now, however recently it's started going a bit funny.  No matter what I do it won't remember my username and passwords, even though I've configured it to do so.  It also keeps jerking and freezing, re-installing it was no help.  So I decided to give Chrome a try, nothing to lose and all that.

I've got to say, I'm VEEEEEEEEERRY impressed with it.

Very quick and responsive, plus it's not intrusive.  The extensions work really well.  Turns out it has extensions to mirror all the add-ons I used with Firefox.  Plus it has a few incredibly useful ones.  For example, I've installed an extension that completely removes the new Facebook chat, and replaces it with the far superior older one.

I also love the Sync feature.  Browser is linked with my gmail account, so it looks as if it backs everything up.  I ever have to re-format or use another PC, I can sync Chrome to mirror my exact previous settings.

For anyone not using it I recommend downloading it and giving it an hour or two test run!

I use Firefox for most browsing, largely because I like the interface more than Chrome's interface. When streaming or playing flash games I use Chrome because Firefox's whole 'plugin container' thing is the most retarded sh!t I've ever seen.
