Would not waste fuel on standard type R lol

One I did smoke tho was one of the better ones. a R reg White import only type R. Was at the lights and then into the mad mile which is a great stretch. Smoked it at the lights and left it for dead. His was modified as we stopped to admire each others cars. He freely admitted he had no chance of catching me and thought mine was just a 8v that he would easily embarrass haha

that would be a EK9 which is a 1.6 vtec with 189bhp standard and and 2lb/ft even if it was modded it wouldn't be much more than 200bhp unless it was supercharged then you wouldn't stand a chance in hell.

Vtec - all that lag & no turbo. Its like waiting for bad sex...

The honda children round me all run straight through systems and brap round on vtec all night long, makes me sad....

vtec is only a switch that turns the intresting cam on at the end of the day.

I've grown up with my dad always having Honda's. As a kid VTEC was the coolest thing in the world. I used to love listening to the revs building wondering when the engine was going to suddenly erupt from underneath the bonnet.

I have to admit that the FN2 Civic Type R (Championship White Edition) is amongst one of my favourite cars of all time. It may not be the fastest type R, or the lightest, or the most pretty... but for me it's everything I've always remembered about Type R's.

(If only it had been lighter and a bit more powerful  ... just an extra 20-30hp)

Yours is highly modded though

A supercharged type r (you can pick them up for £5k) will be pushing 300bhp and weighs around 1200KG. Will own most things once rolling. I wouldnt waste my fuel on one as i would get owned!

Vtec (not vtech) as in Variable valve Timing and Electronic lift Control

When you are driving the car hard on a B road the revs stay high and so no lag at all, just lots more revs left for the corner and exit.

the really anoying thing is, ive never really been interested that much into vtecs untill this thread came up and now i want one
