Bluefin advice
« on: 30 September 2011, 22:04 »
hi

i just got my new gti and once its run in I'm thinking of a superchips bluefin.

thing is my dad has a honda and he also is thinking about a remap.

if i bought a bluefin handset and remap could we re use the handset for his car?

could it be unlocked and how much would it be for that and how much for the remap?

also anyone with a 2.0tfsi got any thoughts on the bluefin? are they much cop?

thanks

Hi mate,

There are plenty of bluefin users with MK6 GTI's that love them, so all glowing there, it's a bit of a pain that the super chips web doesn't give a proper graph for this car as the bhp makes no sence on their graph???

As per your dads car sadly you can't use one unit on two cars

ok thanks

yeah I've seen the graph and they reckon 249bhp OE. I've seen many articles saying the mk6 makes way more than the 210bhp/280nm quoted but that seems very high!

i was hoping that we could buy one full kit (handset and remap) then just buy the software for the 2nd car. bit of a pain in the ass really... maybe they will give us a discount on 2 sets!

What Honda does your dad have?  I only ask as I'm one of the founders and Admin on TypeAccord.co.uk (probably the largest UK dedicated site to the 7th and 8th gen Accord).. oh and my own car is up for sale after 3.5 years

Anyways back on topic, Bluefin is a pretty old product now.  We offer something similar through our software partner but it's actually re-usable (as long as you flash the first car back to stock).

2010 C-RV is the latest generation of i-DTEC and has a protected ECU (and a DPF).  We do them of course, but in the workshop in Leeds.

Hi,

We can do a plug and play unit for your GTI but your dads car would need to either come into the workshop or have our mobile workshop come and visit.
