Now i have my K&N on and its work very nice!!! i still have the bottom part of the air box still situated in the car with a pip going rounds the back of the engine and also theres a really thin pipe that route towards the ISV... does any1 have any idea what these are for or what to do with them.. they must be there for a reson so i don't want to ignore them
any advice would be great

it just just operates the little flap in the airbox, it sucks hot air from around the exhaust manifold when starting from cold
but seeing as you have top of the box off it wont make any difference, just leave it as it is

take it off mate, theres no need for it. its just held on by a rubber Oring, and that pipe just pulls out with it.
