I had this recently. Right pain to get off :( I snapped the bolt too... which helped, as then i just cut a notch in the end, and used a screwdriver.

Only replaced the bolts two years before with ones from the dealership, which was easy enough at the time... went back in this time and they couldnt find any bolts to fit apparantly. He did come out with some from a MK4 which looked identical to me, same pitch, length etc, but he said, different part number - wont fit. I walked away and went to my local bolt shop, and they found the same bolts and charged i think 60p for all four?

Gave them a lick of copper slip grease this time too, should hopefully last more than two years!

what i usualy end up doing:

cut the rubber bits,
heat up the bolt with a blow torch,
smack in a splined torx bit into the hole, or a socket over the whole bolt.

brute force it out.

or get a mole grip on the head.

I used Irwin Bolt grippers, then replaced the bolts.

Thanks all of you it was helpful, I dont think dealer sell them anymore. Nut n bolt shop I will look on google if there one near my area.
High tensile metal, yes I will remember that thanks. If I tear off rubber cover is there replacement too?  :embarassed:

"Irwin Bolt grippers" I check shops online, think might give a try but not just for caliper bolts, can be any kind of bolts

I replaced mine but they came as part of a kit from Bigg Red. Irwin Bolt grippers can be had from machine mart.

i spent ages f*cking round with one first time it happened, but second time i just pulled the rubber off, filed two sides of the rounded head then got a monkey wrench on it, took about 20 mins

got new bolts from dealers about a month ago, dont stock them, took about 3 days to order in
