Everyone seems to have someone else to put the blame on. The problems lie with everybody. You, me and your mothers uncle. Blissful iggnorance is at the top of the list for most in this country and it is that has destroyed the economy, democracy, the justice system and everything else that goes with it. Nothing to do with people on the dole, or immigrants etc etc, they are byproducts of same problem. Wealth is centralised, jobs are diminishing. Its all set up to fail no matter what we do!! The sooner the better I say as this culture is backwards and self destructive.

You do live in birmingham to be fair  :lipsrsealed:
And thats supposed to mean what, exactly? im a Brummie.. and bloody proud of it! im also a worker.. always have been. theres good and bad in every race creed and colour, but the biggest damage done to this Green and Pleasant is HAND-OUTS,
if you dont WANT to work and dont WANT to contribute to society, then fekk off !simples! those that think its a god given right to fleece those that DO work and DO contribute ought to be means tested at the very least.

At least I have one thing these lazy arsed fekkers dont and will never have.Pride that ive stood on my own two feet and not had to rely on hand outs for what i have.

Chill winston. Was being facetious, hence the smilie. OP took it as i meant
Im assuming thats the quote from Lock Stock and not any form of 'johnny foriegner ' slant as per what seems to be the underlying tone of this thread.. Im chilled, just wondered what you meant by  the quip about living in Birmingham? nothing more nothing less.. its no worse and in fact a lot better than a fair few places throughout the UK.

Some of this thread is funny... Foreign workers are important. I know a lot of polls exceptionally skilled that will go out and work for £6/hr in the building trade from plastering onwards, where a lot off guys will refuse he job unless it pays £x.xx/hr, ontop I would say the polls produce a better grade of work at a better speed  :lipsrsealed:

It's like a "friend", I asked him to borrow a tranny and diamond drill to cut a dry core for the installation off an extractor fan, he quoted me regardless off the help I provided him in the past. Plus he said he wouldn't do a job even if its 5min away and took 20min max unless it payed at least £150... Now here's the problem he's expecting to much and wonders why he is not making any money on the side! When I could ask a poll and he would do it for far cheaper and not worry about the minimum earning out the job or he may do it for free and expect a favor in return or in exchange off some friendly beers.

+1, too many greedy, lazy, scheming and sponging f**k*rs about.. too many of them involved in my life and funny that none of them should be foreign.. it`s the way the country has gone due to people who live in it and the ways its run.. AND whats PC?

I quite like the UK  Any time I've been over it's seemed like a pretty great place to live.
And yes I've been to Birmingham  :lipsrsealed:

Thats cos it is.  what people either don't know cos they've never been anywhere else or just have forgotten it that all the 1st world countries have thier problems.

Take here in Oz , the utopian land of make believe for alot of brits, there is what is seen to be a huge immigration "issue" ( if the immigrant is brown ). They even had thier own race riots in Sydney a few years back.
Gun crime is worse than the uk due to Motorcycle gangs and organised crime.
Corruption in the police is common enought to make the news by starting with " another top policeman has been found ..."
poverty and illness in the aboriginal culture (still half a million strong despite the white mans efforts)  is a huge and mostly ignored problem in the northern regions.
Racism is there at an almost constant if low level. Even the greek and italian communities call themselves Wogs.

few places in the world have a higher standard of living than europe as a whole. In the USA the wages are low and paid annual leave isn't a given even in well paid jobs. We have a friend who works there as an accountant who gets 8 days a year and considers herself lucky!

France , sweden , denmark and poland all have higher suicide rates than the uk ,  so the apparent better standard of living doesn't seem to be doing them much good.

I think most people around the world would be incredibly happy if thier country had the 10th highest standard of living in a region with a very high standard to start with.

The Uk is just having a hard time at the moment so people are focusing on the negative elements.

I was the same till i jumped the fence and found out the grass isn't greener at all, it is however full of things that want to bite you to death.

I am looking forward to coming home in a couple of years.

Mate are you for real???? A lot of people could take this as being racist. Yes I agree the mps have not helped much but you bending our ears about something which you can't change isn't going to make an iota of difference
