Newbie saying hello

Found this site yesterday but have only just found the new post button.

Should be buying a Golf on the weekend if the car checks out tonight.
not a 1st time vw owner currently have a '73 bay camper in black and Orange and a '72 beetle (which I'm selling to get the golf).  Been wanting a Golf for years, but company cars and enjoyin air cooled motoring have got in the way until now... sensibility has over ruled now as the beetle won't be as much fun as my commute to work has doubled to 30miles....

I probably won't mod the golf but at least I know where to come asking questions if I do....

Mk 4 GT TDI 150 in silver I hope, did a hpi check on the reg, came back as 5 door, but it's only got 3....
So gonna check chassis number etc, plus owner has had it checked out at a vw dealer to authenticate it as correct, and then do the paperwork to correct the v5. Should be sorted tonight for a weekend pickup.
