A tale of woe from my mate and his Aprillia

Valve retainer sheared dropping the collets, so the titanium valve dropped and had it's head snapped off by the piston. The valve head got it's own back though, flying around in the chamber beating the sh!t out of the head and the piston. Finally it dropped into the sump via a hole it had managed to punch through the piston.  :cry:

nope, he was doing about 30 thankfully as the engine locked once all the damage had been done :shocked:

it's a trails bike, not sure what model it is. Needless to say he won't be putting an Aprillia or even a 4 stroke lump back in  :grin:
